David Binks our Lancaster Office Manager has decided to take early retirement from the end of February. He joined The Insurance Centre in September 2001 and ends a 40 plus year career in the insurance industry having worked for Provincial Insurance (now AXA) in Sheffield, Leicester, Bolton and what was their head office in Kendal, as a commercial insurance underwriter and specialist goods in transit controller.
After moving to the insurance broking side of the industry he moved to The Insurance Centre after a spell at a brokers in Windermere. He is now hoping his future revolves more around enjoying the outdoors life and travelling the UK and parts of Europe.
David is replaced in the office by Valerie Evans who joined The Insurance Centre in January 2015. Valerie has worked in the insurance industry for most of her working life dealing in commercial, personal lines and the Lloyds market.
As Office Manager her primary role involves the continued focus of ensuring that the office runs efficiently, productively and maintains compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
